DORMOUSE
Strictly nocturnal, the dormouse lives in the understory of woodlands where it feeds on fruits, nuts and the occasional bird's egg. Sadly though this delightful animal is becoming scarce due largely to many woodlands being unmanaged and the ravages of alien deer such as muntjac and fallow that destroy the understory
