FLYING LIZARD

FLYING LIZARD

Although incapable of powered flight, this agamid lizard is capable of long sustained glides from one tree to the next, where it hunts for insects. Their 'wing's are made up from flaps of skin supported by specially modified ribs. Over 40 species have been recognised, all from the genus Draco.
